Week 5: Unleash Your Heroic Voice - Writing

This week we learn about structure and flow.  These are the best friends to creativity because they allow your creative mind to wander and unleash, knowing that structure and flow will capture and organize that imagination into a book others will love!

Step 1.

Watch this video to see how to create the beginning overview and map out the ideal reader for your book

Lesson Tasks

  • Task Number 1

Print out the PRINTABLE version of the book planning tool (available on the right side of this page).

Create your overview sentence. This will become the 30 second pitch for your book, so feel free to share it with your family, friends and others to generate buzz and interest for your book.

Identify your ideal reader and the detailed information about them.

Step 2.

Watch this video to see how different people learn through these 4 major systems Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic or Auditory Digital.

Lesson Tasks

  • Task Number 2

Watch this video about the different ways people learn.

Download the Predicate Words List, which gives you words and phrases that you can use in your writing to “speak” to the different learning styles.

    Get writing!

Step 3.

This video helps you to get moving as you create the
Beginning-->Middle-->End logical flow to your story/book.

Lesson Tasks

  • Task Number 3

Start by mapping out your logical flow with a Beginning, Middle & End.

To help you write and allow your creativity to be unleashed use chunks/chapters so that you can write, even if your thoughts come out scattered (as they often do for all of us).
