Artificial Intelligence Drives Austin StartUp School’s New Math Program

HOORAY! We’ve just been approved as a K-12 Provider for ALEKS technology programs!
Why is this important to us? We aim to be at the cutting-edge in utilizing the most advanced, researched and intelligent education technology systems for our students.
ALEKS is based upon original theoretical work in a field of study called “Knowledge Space Theory”, where artificial intelligence is used to map the details of each student’s knowledge.
ALEKS can assess at each moment, with respect to each individual topic, whether a student has mastered that topic. Based on the student’s performance within the program, it is able to assess if the student is ready to learn the topic in that moment, or not.
ALEKS uses this intelligence to make learning more efficient and effective by continuously offering the student a selection of only the topics she is ready to learn right now. This, in turn, builds student confidence and learning momentum!
