Everyone benefits from children serving as volunteers!
Children in service to their communities promotes a heart-centered lifestyle, enhances psychosocial and intellectual development, teaches life skills, improves community function, aesthetics and relationships, and encourages a lifelong service ethic.
The students of Austin StartUp School routinely engage in community service activities from tending gardens for the homeless, making toys for shelter animals, clearing trash from city parks and waterways, and sorting and delivering donations for community members in need.
Given the opportunity to serve, our youth become valuable contributors, problem-solvers and partners with adults in improving their communities, making a greater impact today – and creating the vision for tomorrow.
